Open Drawing & Painting Sessions

This Term the there will be day sessions on the bank holidays instead of evening sessions ( 7th & 28th May)

The open sessions run during term time and alternate weekly between portrait and life drawing. There’s no need to book, just turn up and draw or paint. Easels and drawing boards are provided along with tea and coffee in the breaks. All you need bring are the materials you want to use and lots of enthusiasm. The sessions are held weekly during term time and everyone is welcome regardless of style or experience. Directions to the studio are on the contact page.

All Day Sessions: 7th May – Life Drawing | 28th May Portrait

These function in much the same way as the weeknight sessions but you get six hours to work rather than two. As with the weeknight sessions, the all day sessions are not taught. They are aimed at giving you the chance to work from a model over a longer period than is often possible. The longer timescale makes them well suited to painting. Life drawing sessions and Portrait sessions are both held so keep an eye on the All Day Sessions page of the website or the Northern Realist Facebook page for details of what is coming up. The all day sessions can be popular and places are limited so advance booking is recommended.
